EXTENSION OF MY EXHIBITION AT THE EQUATORIAN EMBASSY
His Excellency Vicente Albornoz opened my exhibition *AUS DEN AUGEN, AUS DEM SINN* in Berlin. Following such a wonderful opening and the enthusiastic feedback from the many visitors, we have extended the exhibition period to two months. My photographs will be on view until mid-June 2026 at the venue located at Joachimsthaler Straße 12 in Berlin (weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
The diversity that the country of Ecuador—in a rather reserved but no less compelling way—calls home has been a part of every one of my previous projects. I wasn’t really aware of this while developing my own concepts or when curating group exhibitions; it only became clear to me now, while preparing this project.
And so, for me, it is not only a great honor but almost a natural progression that the first embassy to invite me to an exhibition is the Ecuadorian one. I am so very happy about this.
Come by and see my pictures as a little break; a break from what we read and see in the news. I realize that photography cannot heal immediately, but with its power—rooted in memory—it can have an effect, linger, fortify, and be a woolen blanket, a light, and a railing.
