AWARDS
How thrilled I was to have made it to the finals of the Siena Creative Award 2025! The Siena Awards are among the most respected and prestigious events in the international photography scene. Every year, the awards and the accompanying festival, founded in 2015, transform the historic city of Siena in Italy and surrounding municipalities into a massive open-air gallery.
At the 20th Spider Award, my work was once again generously recognized by the international jury. I found myself on no fewer than five shortlists, and I’m especially thrilled about the Honorable Mention in my favorite category, »Photojournalism«.
I made it onto the shortlist for the 18th International Color Awards in nine categories. Three additional images of mine were included in the winners’ book. I am very pleased that my photos »FIRST TOUCH«, »LUSCIOUS GREEN« and »BLUE LAGOON« have been given this special place and that my color photographs have been recognized by the international jury.
I‘m grateful and very happy about my first Gold Medal. In the category »Landscape city view« of the Paris International Street Photo Award my photo »BOW, BIRD AND PHOSPHOR« is the jury‘s favorite. By the way, it’s one of my color pictures, taken in Berlin. With eight more Honorable Mentions in different categories I‘m honored and proud. Special thanks to the jury for keeping an eye on the silent ones.
The sentence I love the most: »Your work received a high percentage of votes overall.« which I found in my Winner Announcement.
A big thank you to the large, diverse jury of the 19th Black & White Spider Awards who nominated me with 13 images in eleven categories and selected me as one of the best in the »Americana«, »Photojournalism« und »Wildlife« categories from over 6000 submissions from 66 countries.
My photo »ON-LINE CONNECTION« has won a prize. I’m thrilled to have received this recognition at the first attempt.
