»I am aware that photography cannot heal immediately, but with its power—rooted in memory—it can have an effect, linger, provide strength, and serve as a warm blanket, a light, and a railing.«
At the invitation of Ecuadorian Ambassador Vicente Albornoz, Anne presents a solo exhibition comprising 24 photographs in the spring/summer of 2026. She conceived and curated the images—captured during a four-week trip in 2016—freely and specifically for the spaces of the Ecuadorian Embassy in Berlin. Considering only the year they were created, these are the first works to have been produced in a completely unprotected environment; images that draw their strength from the unfamiliar, the unprepared, and the immediate. On display are photographs that convey how a country, with all its contrasts, captivates and enchants with its unabashed diversity; a country that stands up for the treasures it unearths. A special strength emanates from the people who open their front doors—and themselves—with unflinching determination and offer a home to the diversity that unfolds before them—in a rather reserved but no less compelling way.
